my beautiful journey

I was borned in Batu Kikir, N9. Very small pekan but then become a huge name after a song hugely popular by the lyrics with batu kikir name in it.  To those ever wondering whether the 'jambatan bosi' exist or not. The answer is 'YES'.  It still there till today.  Credit to the singer.

People keep asking me why I further my study. Is it because of money, because of position???? Wrong wrong wrong. Not I did not do it just because of that. It's beyond that.  I DOING IT BECAUSE OF MY KIDS.  Yes, Yes because of my kids.

As parents, we want the best for our kids. We want them to excel in so many ways. When they are young, we have full control of the situation but as time goes by, their friend will have a major influence.

As a mother, I also want the best for my kids. I want them to have better life, healthy, grow up to be a good person and giving the best to society. So, I must take a first step. The first thing I understood is action always speaks louder than word. Nagging often kills a child's spirit and self-esteem. If we focus on action and the kids want to please their parents, this will make them behave instead of misbehave.

I notice that my kids always try to imitate what I’m doing. They feel that if they can imitate my character I will feel proud. I enjoy reading since I was small so I want my kids to inherit the good habits.

I decided to go back to school to further my study not because I am craving for a better position in my company but simply because I want to be a role model to them. Yes, good academic results will definitely bring better position but that’s not my first intention.

When my daughter entered her Year 1 in school last year, I entered myself at Open University. So start from the Day 1 we entered our schools I have made a schedule for both of us.  Both of us will have the same schedule, there is a time to read, time to settle our homework, time to watch movie, time to play and even time to go to library.  We study together, go to library and even watch movie together.

During my free time I will read books.  Not only academic books but also magazine, newspaper etc.  If she’s not doing the same thing, I will ask her. “Why didn’t you read the book, if mummy can read a book why can’t you? Normally she will smile and run to get her book.

It’s been 2 years now and I proudly announce that I success in my mission. Even if I’m not around, she wills still doing it without being forced to.  Her baby sitter did tell me one day, when other kids like to play around while waiting for their parents to pick them up, my daughter choose to sit in one corner and read her book. And that is a big achievement to me.

Being a parent, we are the strongest role model and the greatest influence in our child life cycle.  Children will see us as an example whether it’s bad or good.   In simple words, what we do has a big impact on their decision.   We have to take this opportunity to develop the good in positive ways.

Allah has been very good to me.  I was blessed with so many ways.  He granted my wish even I have never ask for it. Allahuakbar.
